Welcome to Spotlight Sunday. I’m Liz Gavin and today I’m thrilled to introduce you to AMY OLLE.

LG: Where are you from?

AO: Born and raised in The Mitten State. <3

I swear, I am not on the tourism board, but Michigan is such a beautiful state! We have miles of beaches, stunning sunsets, and gorgeous fall colors. The winters are a month (or two) too long, but that’s just a good excuse to stay indoors and read.

LG: Do you have hobbies? What’s your favorite pastime?

AO: I’m a huge sports fan. I’ve written only one sports romance (the hero in Dirty Play is a pro hockey player) and of all my books, it was by far the easiest for me to write. I love prowling antique stores and flea markets, and am a total genealogy nerd.

LG: Tell us about something your readers would be surprised to learn about you.

AO: I have a dirty, filthy potty mouth.

Actually, considering my heroes, that probably wouldn’t surprise any of my readers. 😉

LG: What was the inspiration(s) behind your latest title?

AO: My latest release, Her Wicked Stepbrother, began as a prologue to my book, Saint (releasing November 9). It was supposed to be one chapter about a boy and girl who become stepsiblings, but it turned into a 150-page novella and series starter with 2-3 more books planned for next year. These characters just completely took over and gave themselves a huge love story. <3

LG: Is there any message from your bestseller book with which you wanted readers to walk away?

AO: My Nolan Brothers series is filled with tortured souls and I think that’s because I find tortured characters the most interesting and, ultimately, the most lovable. I don’t think I’ve ever written a true alpha hero or kickass heroine, but my characters have all been broken or damaged in some way, and yet find the courage to love and be gentle and kind, which makes them total badasses to me.

LG: Have you ever learned something surprising about yourself while researching and/or writing a book? If so, could you share it with us?

AO: My new series, The Nolan Bastards, is set in Chicago, a city I’ve visited exactly once and more than twenty years ago. As a Michigan girl, I have a phobia of big cities and I was very nervous about placing my stories there, but while researching Chicago, I’ve completely fallen in love with this city! I’ve learned so much about its history and architecture, and I’ve become obsessed with a local photographer’s gorgeous photos. Now, I can’t wait to visit!

LG: Please provide all your contact information so our readers can stalk you.
