So this ad keeps coming up on Youtube whenever I log in… and it is absolutely true. In it, the great Joyce Carol Oates states that the real enemy of a writer is NOT his/her absence of talent, but constant interruptions. OMG – I totally relate! Taking care of my elderly mom has been time-consuming and creativity-draining, but I don’t resent any minute of it. It’s the least I can do for this amazing woman I adore. I know I’ll eventually get back to writing. Just please hang in there, guys! <3
